April 29, 2014: Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers’ released their seventh studio album, The Independent, via iTunes and record stores across the country today. The album immediately shot to #7 on the iTunes Rock Chart following release. The band will celebrate The Independent with an album release event at the brand new outdoor poolside concert stage at Arizona’s Talking Stick Resort on Friday, May 2. The album’s first single, “Ain’t Got The Words,” will hit radio stations across the country May 5.

The Independent draws inspiration from old west musical greats, the road less traveled and the Southwest influences that have inspired more than a dozen acclaimed Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers albums, many of which reached top ten on Billboard’s Internet Sales Chart.

The new single, “Ain’t Got The Words,” is the first song on the album and noted as being the true start of The Independent. “I sat down to write, knowing this was the beginning of the new album and was frustrated,” said Clyne. “I literally started trying to put words together and the first thing that came to mind was ‘I ain’t got the words for this.’ I kind of pushed back to the realization that maybe this was the song and carried on from there.”

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers album release event on May 2 at Talking Stick sort will offer a first chance to hear the new single off The Independent live along with all of the favorite RCPM celebrated hits.

Following a U.S. tour, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers will head across the border for the annual independently self-produced, Circus Mexicus Festival in Rocky Point, Mexico, June 5-8. The fest is presented by Clyne’s own brand of ultra-premium Mexican Moonshine Tequila and was coined the “Best Rock ‘n’ Roll Road Trip” by the Phoenix New Times. Over 4,000 people from around the globe flood the picturesque seaside village of Puerto Peñasco to celebrate music with Roger Clyne.
